Congratulations to Mr Peter Vaughan, of Sydney, who is the winner of the motorhome service worth $2000 thanks to and performed by Australian Motor Homes (AMH). A simple email and subscription to receive the RV Pages newsletter was all it took to be in the running for the prize and Peter and his wife Lesley are delighted with the opportunity they now have. Owners of a slide-on camper unit aboard a Ford Falcon RTV ute, in fact, the Vaughans plan to make a short holiday out of the journey to AMH (Bennetts Green, just outside Newcastle, NSW) with a stop on the Central Coast before dropping the camper at AMH and then enjoying a few days in the local area after picking up the newly-serviced Ford vehicle. The RTV was a version of the Falcon ute that ran much higher ground clearance and a rear diff lock, ideal for hauling a camper over surfaces encountered in the out of the way locations that Peter and Lesley like to visit – when I spoke to Peter he apologised for being out of touch as they had been camping in a remote part of Kanangra-Boyd NP, on the western fringes of Blue Mountains.
There should be no remote-area dramas either for future travels – the team at Australian Motor Homes is composed of factory-trained technicians and can handle everything from accessory fitment to electrical and insurance/warranty work on all motorhomes and caravans.
